Advice Clinics

As part of our Advice Clinic service we can maintain an on-site presence or be available by telephone when employees receive the news to provide immediate support during the transition period. We can also actively engage with remaining employees to keep them motivated and productive while dealing with the organisational changes.


These advice clinics are designed to support both the departing employees and those that remain throughout the transition period and beyond. By maintaining an on-site presence employees can be immediately supported while they process information and plan the next step in their career.


The Advice Clinic offer you the opportunity to:

Review career choices, achievements, key skills and experience, helping to identify potential alternative career paths / roles and transferable skills.

  • Exploring career options and/or alternative ways of working.
  • Making informed decisions about next career move and devising a practical career action plan for next job and beyond.
  • Psychometric profiling.
Pre-Employment Support
    • Job search techniques, locating where the target jobs are – both advertised and hidden. Identifying CV databases to use, demonstrating the technology, setting up job alerts, using job crawlers, networking / and speculative approaches.
    • CV and covering letter review: support covering optimising the CV for on-line CV databases., layout and readability, along with achievement statements.
    • Completing application forms:  guidance on technique and review of completed forms.
    • Reviewing/establishing an on-line presence to enhance visibility, working on optimising / or creating a ‘LinkedIn’ profile and networking via the site.
    • In depth interview preparation, including handling difficult interview questions and rehearsing for interviews, presentations and networking.
    • Managing the recruitment agency/head-hunter relationship- how to use an ‘elevator pitch’ when following up applications.
    • Reviewing current job seeking activities and refocusing where necessary.
    • How to approach an Assessment Centre.
